More than 500 people will attend this year’s WorldSkills Leaders Forum (WSLF), September 3, 2009, making it the largest WSLF to date!

The keynote address will be given by business executive, author, and consultant Don Tapscott. An internationally renowned authority on the impact of information technology on business, Don Tapscott is the author of Wikinomics How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything, and Growing Up Digital.

In addition to giving the keynote address Don Tapscott will also moderate an interactive panel discussion with five Past Champions of the WorldSkills Competition. The panel will represent a cross section of various skills and technologies. The Past Champions will discuss the positive impact that participating in the WorldSkills Competition has had on their both personal and professional lives.

Following the conclusion of the WSLF the Past Champions will take the group including participants of the WorldSkills Premiere Experience on a guided tour of the 2009 WorldSkills Competition site.

VIP Experience is renamed the WorldSkills Premiere Experience

VIP_1.gifRecently the WorldSkills VIP Experience was renamed the WorldSkills Premiere Experience . This change was made to better reflect the nature of the program and the participants' expectations. The WorldSkills Premiere Experience (WSPE) is shaping up to be another great event for all leaders in industry, government, and education.

We are currently seeking suggestions for proposals to conduct seminars as part of the Global Skills Seminars during the WSPE and also welcome any ideas that would better enhance the WorldSkills Champions on the World Stage. The Global Skills Seminars are designed to give the participants new information, or a fresh look at issues and ideas surrounding trades and technologies on the global platform.

If you have any feedback or suggestions for the Global Skills Seminars or would like more information on the WorldSkills Premiere Experience please contact Stephen Chase at stephen.chase@worldskills.org
